Early Beginnings

If children grew up according to early indications, we should have nothing but geniuses.            – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Thirty years ago, Otto Siegel was teaching a high school chemistry class when he became intrigued with the challenge of gifted students and the difficulties they faced in a school environment. It has become his life’s work. In a world that is concentrating on fixing problems with students, Otto has focused on identifying the individual’s strengths and helping them utilize those strengths. His unparalleled success with gifted students has expanded to encompass all children and adults.

Until recently, Otto and his team of coaches worked with students on an individual basis. The results were tremendous, but the process was expensive and only available to a small number of students. Genius Coaching has now created a classroom-style delivery for the program which has produced some additional advantages:

  • Students understand themselves much better as well as their fellow students
  • They learn more effective ways to communicate, and they practice them with their classmates
  • They are supported to create a lasting behavioral change by including parents and teachers
  • Behavioral problems disappear over time
  • Students feel grateful and are more loyal to the school
  • Parents are participating and own the success of the program
  • Everybody talks to friends and neighbors about it and enrollment rises
