Success has MANY different faces

Genius Tip #512

How about you?

Marvin*(8) has been diagnosed with ADD and explored every drawer in our waiting room without any control when he came for the first time 2 months ago. I asked him to draw something on our white board wall and he came up with a simple 1-ft high stick figure.

togther with his passionate parents, he was very motivated to play and learn about his anxieties and how to get a grip on these 'shadow monsters' with playful exercises.

After 8 sessions with plenty of self-directed anxiety management he created a life-size portrait of himself on our white board with focus, determination and attention to details.

Do you see what I see?

His self perception had transformed and he was able to calm down and express himself in a new and more realistic way. The roots of ADD were gone and his dad acknowledged that he had a son he did not recognize anymore.

Have a closer look at his face as he creates his self image:

Project Gratitude
