Brilliance in Disguise

Brilliant kids and adults have an interesting habit in common...

Brilliant kids and adults have an interesting habit in common that easily shows up in smart conversations: They make simple things look very complicated.

Here is my own example: Over the past weeks I struggled with the headline on our website:

Are you or is your child a highly intelligent misfit?

I could not find an answer and processed it in my brain over and over again.

Then there was this conversation with my coach Tiffany today and I told her that one of the genius quotes that have been impacting me since I started Genius Coaching in 2003 is the famous Einstein quote:

There is a true genius in everyone.

"Is that your new headline?" she asked straightforward.

I felt like the deer in the headlight and almost cried as a response as I felt relieved from all the heavy mental work that comes with over-complicating things in my brain.

I needed a person I trust to interrupt that endless processing and feel the light of simplicity.

The update 20 minutes later felt soooo good...!
