Being a Parent, you are a VIP in Education

Bold Statement or Daily Reality?

Most reasons for your true VIP status as a parent might be obvious but frequently overlooked:
  • As a mother you know and feel your child in your womb and develop a strong biological bond: The life and well being of your child depends on you.
  • From day 1 you both start to learn from your baby and about your baby.
  • You witness every step of their biological , mental, emotional and social development: This makes you a specialist with precise and specific insights.
  • You make all decisions for educational options for at least two decades.
  • You completely finance this project and hope for the best return on your investment.
This list is very incomplete.

How much recognition do you receive from your family members, teachers, counselors, coaches or - yourself?

Last week I received a powerful parenting tip from a partcipant in our Parent Playtime program:

"We have a regular game night in our blended family, Recently I didn't get a lot of excitment for the board games we suggested. So I just did some simple moves with my arms to shake off my stress; they imitated me immediately and we all laughed so hard. Now I like to just be silly with them..."

What a great way to be a VIP parent in a few moments by using the power of play as a leadership tool!
